This VINTAGE, Hand Painted \"Greek Acropolis Parthenon Building Design 24K Gold Paint Pottery Round Decorative Collectors Storage Stash Jewelry Coins Trinket Box\" by Kutahia Athens was purchased by my friendsparents during a trip toGreece in1954. Purchased at a market place from a stall full of \"old\" things, they were told that it was at least 20 or 30 years old when they purchased it. Displayed inside a glass breakfront through the mid-1990s then it was packed away, it is recently rediscovered. Safely and securely stored for 20 years, there are 2 small chips - out rim, bottom of box along the 24K Gold ring AND inside the rim of the bottom of the box; Please See Pictures. A bit dirty, it could use a gentle cleaning. Otherwise, it isin EXCELLENT Conditionwith NO cracks, crazing or other damage; itcomes from a smoke-free, pet-free home.With a diameter of approximately 3 3/8th inches, it standapproximately 1 1/8th inches tall; thebottom is Marked with a Logo and \"Kutahia Athens - Hand Made In Greece\". With a WONDERFUL Design done with GREAT Technique and Style, this Trinket Box isIDEAL for display in any room at home or work. The two small chips are NOT visible when the lid is on the box. With a brick red glazed base and inner lid, the top of the plate has a hand painted depiction of the Parthenon atop the Acropolis outside of Athens!The upper edge of the base has two gold ring lines that provide an CLASSIC accent to the top.
