This is a stupendous hand wrought sterling silver cuff bracelet by Graziela Laffi of Peru, circa 1950s. It\'s an amazing piece of craftsmanship, featuring 2 applied dragon creatures and hand done incised decoration along the borders. The surface of the cuff is hand hammered. Truly magnificent with a lovely patina!
Graziela Laffi was Italian but worked in Peru producing unique and beautiful silver items in a mixture of modern and pre-Colombian forms. Her work is quite beautiful and rivals the master silver work coming out of Taxco, Mexico. In fact, Laffi is referred to as the \"Spratling of Peru\". Laffi\'s work is highly sought after by a discriminating collector base and will be sure to escalate in value.
Hallmark: G. Laffi Peru 925Size: Inner Circumference (including the gap): 7\" (bigger at the elbow end and and smaller at the wrist end); Gap: 1 3/8\"; Width: 2 5/16\" (quite wide); Grams: 74 (quite heavy)
Condition: Excellent vintage - I have only lightly buffed, you may wish to polish more, but I think the patina is perfect
