Old VintageCypress Knee Lamp

This is anold cypress knee lamp from the late 50’s or early 60’s. The lamp is 28 inches tall from the base tothe top of the light fixture. Thecypress knee itself is 16 ½ inches tall. ( It is getting very hard to find onethis big in the swamps of Mississippi. ) The base is 10 inches by 9 ¾ inchesand is about 1 inch thick. Cypress kneesgrow off of a Cypress tree in the swamp in the most southern states in theUnited States. This lamp does work, butit is very old and should be checked by a professional if you are planning touse it. It is hand made item, in good condition with some black on places of the cypress knee (it does not come off and I think it is in the wood) Very nice item with lots of character.
