Vintage pottery vase depicts two leaping fish, I believe carp, leaping out of waves. The leaping carp has significance and is believed to signify a person rising to a higher station in life. Heavy pottery with beautiful blue, green and golden coloring. This was being used to hold attractive branches in its former life. There is the remainder of an old paper identification on the open mouth...unfortunately it is not legible.

Measurements. It weighs a hefty 9 lb, 11 oz before being boxed. And it is 17\" high.

Condition:

Good overall condition. I do note an old repair on the mouth of the big fish...see closeup photo. There is a small chip near the base on this vase.
