Vintage Lenk automatic alcohol blow torch, model #24, in the original box. A soldering tool, advertised as leak-proof and providing intense heat. The torch consists of two brass cylinders that are clipped together, both would be filled with alcohol prior to use. The cylinder with screwcaps on both ends contains a wick that would act as a pilot light. The cap would be taken of the pilot tube, the wick would be lit, and the flame under the nozzle of the second cylinder would cause the nozzle to spit out a jet of flame. The pilot tube could then be adjusted to control the intensity of the torch: push the pilot\'s wick closer to the nozzle for a more powerful flame, or pull it farther away for less output.The torch measures approximately 5.5-inches long, 2-inches wide and 1-inch deep. The torch shows scratches and wear to the brass finish.
