DescriptionBEAUTIFUL LLADRO FIGURINE
Wonderful vintage Lladro high glazed, molded porcelain DEBUTANTES statue measuring about 8-1/2\" tall, 11\" long and about 8-1/2\" deep. Numbered 5486, figure features a pair of young ladies on the cusp of womanhood - they are dressed in flowing gowns, complete with floral picture hats and a dainty string of pearls - probably enjoying their first debutant ball. Depicted sharing secrets over a brocade embossed couch, statue was Made in Spain -- it was issued in 1988 and retired in 1997 - sculptor was Jose Puche.
Condition is excellent - I have gone over the figure very carefully - there are no chips, cracks, hairlines, repairs, discoloration or damage - fingers are undamaged, hat floral decoration is without chips - not a single missing petal or leaf. Although this was displayed in a glass case, it still retains a bit of cased dust within some of the creases - I re-cleaned it after taking the photos as I could still see some cased dust - it has been thoroughly cleaned with q-tips and a mild cleaning soap - positively glows now. Beautifully hand painted and just a gorgeous piece - it is complete with the original box and fitted cardboard insert - box has tape residue and storage wear - this was purchased at time of issue for $895.00 from Nordstroms. Large and dramatic, it is simply charming - a very special piece and a lovely addition to any home, collection or display.
