Vintage MADAME ALEXANDER # 383 Alexander-kins Little Bo Peep Straw Hat 1962 RARE NOT YOUR USUAL LITTLE BO PEEP! This one is very hard to find, and has sold for $400 not in the box! If you look carefully, she is dressed differently than the other Little Bo Peep dolls. Madame Alexander model # 383 from 1962, a very rare model with beautiful complexion and coiffure, and a bright fresh costume.The 8\" (20 cm.) doll is all hard plastic with socket head, bendable-knee walking-style body, sleep eyes, blonde curly hair and bangs. She is wearing a white blouse with attached pink polished-cotton skirt and flowered over-skirt with green rick-rack trim, black suede vest with green lacing, petticoat, pantalets, white leggings, black shoes with tiny gold buttons, and a woven bonnet with roses. The costume is tagged \"Madame Alexander\". She is marked ALEX in her back.She is in very good condition considering her age,with only a very few condition issues. Because of her hat her hair needs some rearranging if you want to display her without it. The curl on her right temple especially. I didn\'t even see, untill I blew the photos up, that the lace facing at the neck is detatched from the blouse, as is part of her left shoulder seam under her vest (doesn\'t show). As expected from a doll her age, the whites are not bright as they once were. Ribbon ends are frayed on her bonnet. The rest of the fabrics are vivid and strong. The skirt is still bright. There is a red/pink mark on the back of her right arm, which I have not attempted to remove. There is a greyish smudge on her left cheek, which did not come off with plain water-I didn\'t try anything else since I didn\'t know what would work to take it off and what might cause harm. I tried to take a photo of it (see the last two photos) but it is very hard to see.
