Vintage Maasai Hunting KnifeNobody remembers when we acquired this knife (and the other, in another listing), but it is in the traditional style of the Maasai warrior of Kenya, with its red color. This knife is no younger than 1982 and may be older than that. It shows its age with color worn from the sheath and rust on the blade. It\'s a tight fit, but the knife does go in and out of the sheath. Sheathed it is about 13\" long. The metal (iron?) blade is about 8\" long and the handle is about 5\". At its widest point, the blade is 1 5/8\" wide.

My family spent nearly 20 years moving around the world (andtraveling even more) and collecting beautiful items from everywhere we went. Myparents are now beginning to go through items that have been packed away foryears or even decades. They know or remember more about some items than others –please ask if you need more information. I am not selling anything with obviousmold, but most items have been sitting for years and may be dusty. Most itemsdate from before my parents settled in Puerto Rico in the early 80’s.
