We cannot know for certain the exact weights of mounted diamonds/gemstones and our calculations may be within 10% heavier or lighter. Mounted diamonds are graded in their settings and the color may also be within 1-2 colors of what we appraise it to be. We use certified color grading stones but the settings prevent a true side-by-side evaluation. We do not over inflate our appraisals. All weights and grading is done by a certified GIA gemologist.
