This jacket is a survivor and comes from the Northern part of Munich, Germany. So for your consideration I offer here a vintage German men\'s motorcycle jacket from the 1930\'s to 1940\'s. If this jacket was used during WW2 I cannot say, but it has the typical look for the Motorcyclist during that time period.
There is no label or sizing but I would guess that this jacket is a size medium, I am 6\' 1\" and 200 lbs athletic build and this jacket fits me perfectly, but please see measurements below. This jacket has a lot of wear and seen a lot, if only it could speak. There is damage, the collar has separated as well as other tears and scuffs, *see right shoulder, also missing 1 back button. But this jacket was built like a tank, after all it is German made and still has a lot life left in her, just needs some love. Also the inner lining on part of the armpit and shoulder areas need repair. If your like your jackets to have original patina and that \"oldtimey\" look than this jacket is the one. I\'ve left the patches on from the previous owner because it\'s part of the history of the coat. The word \"Gegen\" means against and the other patch has the Roadrunner on it.
Here is a note from the previous owner:
\"Here is my old jacket, she has served me well, kept me warm and protected me from the worst. You can see her battle tracks. The patches were worn with pride and can easily be removed by cutting the threads.
These leather jackets are also called coachman jackets, Thälmann jackets, motorcycle jackets. From the cut she is somewhere in the 30\'s or 40\'s. It is often used by vintage car drivers as well.\"
Just let the photo\'s do the talking for a better description of the leather jacket the winning buyer will receive. Normally I do not clean my items before listing them but this jacket was begging for some TLC, so I cleaned the leather with saddle soap and conditioned the leather with some Picard\'s antique leather conditioner to keep that original patina. Photo\'s were taken after the treatment.
