This is a great example of Mid-Century Modern Danish style design. All original purpleupholstery with sturdy high-styled rosewood frame with beautiful color and grain. Tapered legs, curved armrests, and swooping backrest really makes this chair an eye catcher! Chair is in excellent condition with just a couple very minor age and use related flaws on the tip of the right armrest and a tiny split in the upholstery on the upper right hand corner of the backrest as displayed in the photos. All the joinery is tight- very sturdy chair. I do not know who the designer of this chair is. The only marking I can find is \"Made In Norway\" on the underside of the armrest. I have seen similar designs by Jens Risom and Adolf Relling but no exact matches. Overall the chairis in great original un-restored condition with normalwear consistentwith age. Buyer responsible for freight costs.
