DESCRIPTION

Vintage military hat as worn by French artillery, marines, engineers or band members. This French kepi hat is the standard military hat with its signature dark blue band, crown and gold piping for officers. In the case that this is a black kepi then it would have been worn by an engineer or band members. This kepi hat was most likely issued in the early 19th century given its construction. This kepi came from a collection of military items dating from the 1890's up to the 1970's which will be listed shortly.

One of the most distinctive styles of military hats in the world the French Kepi was originally developed from the Casquette d'Afrique worn as a replacement to the shakos in hot climates. A great addition to your military, hat or French collection.

MEASUREMENTS

Item measures 21.25“ in circumference by 3.75“ tall and weighs 6.6 oz. Hat size equates to a 6 3/4.

CONDITION

In good wearable condition with signs of use commensurate with age (please see all pictures as they form part of the condition description).

Condition Disclosure

All our items are vintage/antiques and most have had decades of use. A buyer of vintage objects should assume a baseline of wear. I am always honest and clear in my descriptions and always endeavor to point out any flaws to avoid disappointment but I cannot disclose every minute sign of use on our items as it would be impossible to do so. You should assume these are present unless we specify otherwise here at the beginning of the condition report.

PAYMENT

Payment is due immediately. I am a reasonable person and as long as the communication channels are open and clear, I have no problems accommodating special circumstances. I reserve the right to sell or re-list items not paid for within 48hrs.

SHIPPING

Mailed Items

We ship within 1 business day after receipt of the payment. Each item is packed very carefully to make sure it gets to you in excellent condition. Each package comes with a tracking number.

I will combine shipping, please request an invoice after you have purchased multiple items.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

I ship worldwide NOTE: International buyers are responsible for any and all customs charges, taxes and additional postal fees. Some packages may be delayed in />PICK UP ONLY ITEMS

Large Items (listed as Pick Up Only), collection must be within 14 days of purchase. I am a reasonable person and as long as the communication channels are open and clear, I have no problems accommodating special circumstances.

In the absence of communication about pick-up the item will begin to incur storage costs after 14 days at a rate of $25 per day. Once the value of the item has been exhausted through storage costs, I reserve the right to relist and re-sell the item.

RETURN POLICY

As most of our items are vintage and used they are sold as is and we only accept returns for mailed items. If you are unhappy with your purchase we will accept a return if it is mailed back to us (at your cost) within 30days. Assuming it is returned in the same condition it was sent and returned within 30days, we will provide a full refund.

For items that are picked up or collected, we do not provide refunds. Once your item leaves our warehouse, it is no longer our responsibility, and any damage during shipping must be handled by making a claim through the shipper. We will of course provide an invoice or bill of sale, etc, that may be needed for you to file your claim.
