Offered here is a personable mini FROG fetish carving by Zuni Pueblo artisan: Wilmar Quandelacy. We\'re not absolutely sure of the stone, but it appears to be Turquoise. The eyes are inlaid black dots and there are several coral dots on the back. Please see special note on condition below.

SIZE: This charming little fellow measures just over 3/8 inch tall. It is up to 3/4 inch wide and about 1&1/4 inches long from nose to hind legs.

Please note, the photos are highly magnified, so be sure to look at the photos with the hand and quarter to get an idea of the size and scale.

CONDITION: Comes from an Estate collection. Special note: The inlaid coral dots show some wear and most of one coral dot is missing. The stone has several natural rough areas on the surface.

AUTHENTICITY: This is an authentic Native American hand-carved item and comes from the Zuni Pueblo in northern New Mexico (USA). The piece is unsigned.

ATTRIBUTES: In Zuni tradition, each animal is believed to have inherent powers or qualities that may aid the owner of a fetish carved in the image of that animal. The Frog is a symbol of rain, abundance, and fertility.
