Being offered for sale is a vintage Mont Blanc 144G fountain pen for parts or restoration. The cap lip has multiple cracks, the thin cap bands are bent and there are remnants of glue from a bad repair attempt. The good news is that the barrel, nib and feed are all in good condition. The twist nob is marked 144G on one side and OBB on the other. The 2-tone bib has a broad tip which measures about 1mm/.040\" and angles to slightly lower on the left. The iridium tips on the nib are present and smooth. The twist-fill mechanism works properly with the all metal fill unit shown in one of the pictures. The nib end of the barrel has the striped \"ink-view\" area and is clear with no cracks or problems. The gold plating on the trim is in good condition with the exception of some very minor wear to a couple areas on the clip. The star on the top of the cap is complete w/ no cracks but has yellowed with age.
This pen is being sold AS-IS because of the problems with the cap. No returns will be accepted (even though the return box in the sale might be showing that returns are accepted because of an issue).
