The gold ring at the top of the pen just underneath the star says

Germany. There are original box and papers for this item.

Cap is monogrammed:

1. On the clip ring on the right side of the clip:HP 1184318 GERMANY

2. On the cap band: MONTBLANC MEISTERSTUCK

3. The cap engraved: 1863-1998

The nib is style=\"text-align: center;\">The 144 had the traditional two narrow cap bands surrounding a wide central band.

The paper box has some minor wear on the edges
