We are excited to present a very large collection of genuine Native American jewelry from the 1960\'s or earlier from the Gallup, New Mexico store of TOBE TURPEN. The store now belongs to Perry Null.This collection has been stored since its purchase over 45 years ago and we offer it to you. We will not polish any of the pieces to excess, but just enough to make sure that the silver is not damaged. We purchased the lot from the family of the collector.
You are offerding on a heishi /cowry? shell necklace featuring carved birds.The necklacemeasures22inches long and is in very good condition. The shells measure2.1 mm across and the birds measure approximately1/2 inch across. It is strung on thread or cord. There are also sterling silver beads on the end between theshells and the clasp.
The pieces are in very good condition with no obvious missing shells, no major scratches, breaks or cracks. There are no signatures or markings that I could find.
