Vintage marine ships lamp in metal/copper / brass. Character galore!

Belonged to my dad. been in my loft over 40 years.

He has pained the metal with black Hammerite paint or something like that, probably to protect it from rusting ,

It has a blue glass side and a red glass side and a clear panel in the middle. There is a crack in the red glass, but none is missing. The two side panels of glass are curved.

Was told it was a mast light.

It has a brass panel on the top that says improved combination Launch lamp

Some of the brass/copper is a bit green and tarnished.

handle on the top, hinges, lock and front panels are brass/copper

Well used in its life. Hard to date but am sure there will be experts who have seen these before and if tell me I will add to item.
