Item Description:

This vintage sterling silver cuff bracelet has been beautifully crafted by Navajo silversmith Thomas Curtis. Thomas is a multiple award winner known for his deeply handstamped traditional silverwork He says, \"You have to make your own tools and designs to be an artist. You make it with your vision, your mind and your ten fingers. He says he finds his designs by looking at the ground, the sky, the plants and the four seasons.

This cuff bracelet is 1 1/2\" wide. It measures 5 1/4\" around the inside with an additional 1 3/4\" opening at the back for a total of 7\" around. The bracelet weighs 113 grams or 4 ounces. It is signed T. Curtis and stamped sterling. This bracelet is in excellent condition.

There is a 2 page spread about Thomas Curtis in the \"Arizona Highways\" Magazine of May 2003 on page 32. A quote from the spread: \"Curtis is an old-fashioned Navajo who lives close to the way he has always lived, loving the things he has always loved - riding his horses and crafting jewelry. His home is full of memorabilia from his days as a champion bull rider, broncbuster and roper. The box where he keeps his silversmithing ribbons is overflowing. They number almost 300.\"
