The large hand has the sky as a background and the sky has theMilkyWay and a shooting star in it. The artist is Anton Otto Fischer.Anton OttoFischer (February 23,1882 - March 26, 1962) was an illustrator for the Saturday Evening Post. Born in Germanyand orphaned at any early age, he ran away at the age of 15 to escape beingforced into priesthood. He came to America as a deck hand on a Germanvessel. During World War II he was made the artist laureate ofthe United States Coast Guard.On the back of the cover is an ad for \"Colgate\'s Cold Cream\".
Measures 8-3/8\" W x 10-5/8\".
Condition: Corners and edges are worn. The cover has been folded vertically in half and look like a small scuff near bottom of large arm.
