Vintage Old Pawn LRG Navajo Sterling Silver Turquoise SQUASH BLOSSOM Necklace:

For your consideration is this magnificent high quality vintage handcrafted sterling silver and turquoise squash blossom necklace by Navajo artisan Betsy Tom, circa 1960s or 70s era. This was created in the Shadowbox style, where the turquoise setting is slightly offset from the edge for a shadowbox effect.

This gorgeous vintage squash blossom necklace features twelve blossoms and a very large naja handcrafted from heavy gauge sterling silver. The blossoms were set with genuine top grade Kingman turquoise nuggets with amazing dark matrix patterns in sterling bezels and placed within a deeply stamped sunburst design medallion. The huge naja features the same stamped blossom designs around the horseshoe shape and accented with a dangle in the center. These were hand strung on two rows of handmade sterling silver bench beads that tapers to a single strand. Closes with a handmade hook-eye clasp.

The blossoms measure approx 3/4\" x 1 3/4\", the naja measures about 3 1/4\" wide x 3\" long and the necklace measures approx 30\" long end to end. Total length with naja is about 33\" long. Weighs a substantial 256 grams. It is hallmarked BT, who we believe to be Navajo artisan Betsy Tom. Comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
