For your consideration is this magnificent vintage handcrafted sterling silver and Morenci turquoise squash blossom necklace set, circa 1950s era. The set includes a squash blossom necklace, matching bracelet and matching earrings.

The squash blossom necklace features twelve squash blossoms and a large naja handcrafted from heavy gauge sterling silver and embellished with unique handmade sterling links chains around the edges. The centers of the blossoms hold hand cut cabs of premium grade and very rare Morenci turquoise set in sterling sawtooth bezels. The stones have turned a beautiful aqua blue over time. The naja holds eight cabs of Morenci turquoise in the traditional horseshoe shape and was accented with the sterling chain also. These were then hand strung on two rows of heavy gauge sterling silver bench beads that tapers to a single strand. The naja measures approx 3 1/2\" x 3 5/8\" while the necklace hangs about 32\" long overall. Closes with hook-eye clasp.

The matching bracelet is heavy gauge sterling silver split band cuff and holds three hand cut cabs of Morenci turquoise accented with the links chain. Measures approx 1 3/8\" at the widest and will fit wrist sizes to 7 1/2\". The matching earrings hold a single cab of Morenci turquoise surrounded by the sterling chain and measures about 1\" long on sterling posts.

These gorgeous pieces all have a soft old pawn patina that have not been cleaned. We could not find any artist markings, as was typical of these old pawn items from that era. Usually, this is an indication that the item was made for personal use. This set came from an old trading post in Arizona that closed its doors in the late 1970s and who were known to deal with authentic Native American artisans. Guaranteed to be Native American made. Comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
