Up for offer is a vintage hood ornament with wooden base. This depicts a woman holding a torch. It is most likely for the Olympics.

This measures approximately 4 1/16\" in height when measured from the base of the hood ornament straight up to the top of the head. When measured on the diagonal from the base piece of the hood ornament to the tip of the flame, this measures approximately 7\" across. These measurements do not include the wooden base.

There does not appear to be anything stamped on this.

Application: This is a universal hood ornament that could be added to any car. It looks to be from the late 1920\'s-early 1930\'s. It looks to be nickel plated. Please do your own research.

Condition: This is in good condition.

The hood ornament: is in good condition. There is no cracking. It looks to be nickel or silver plated. The surface finish feels smooth overall. I don\'t see or feel any pitting. There are some spots (pinhead sized) of slight roughness where the surface finish has worn away. There are a few small spots of very light bubbling in the surface finish. There is a bit of red paint on the flame. This is a solid piece.

The wooden base: is nice and solid. It\'s in good condition as well. There are a few light dings and scratches. On the bottom there is some damage, but it could be sanded down nicely.
