In 1943 George Petty offered readers of The American Weekly a chance to buy a set of four 12\" x 18\" posters printed in six colors. Readers would send $2.00 directly to Petty for the prints. This sale is for one of the original printers proofs used for the printing of these prints. The markings around the art measures exactly 12\" x 18\". There is a hole in the top and bottom of the print that was used to hold the proof to the press. On the side the six colors used for printing are displayed along with the job number and the following text: \"George Petty (Prints for framing) 6 colors March 4, 1943.\" The colors in the print are amazing!!! This is as close to an original as it gets!! The paper has wrinkles, it is old. There are two tears at the top and a fold at the bottom. This would be amazing framed and a must for any petty or pin-up collection.
