The little red cup inside was probably a feeding cut, there is no perch. This is for a Vintage Asian Bird Cage. I was told that it is called a Freedom Cage, because the bird is fed than let loose and it will return to the cage for more food. Metal & Wood Construction, with a thread chicken wire style back, with an interior door held in place with 2 wood staves (like toothpicks, one is a little short, but still works. Hook to hang it on the top or legs on the bottom to rest on a tabletop
