n my Travels around the Los Angeles area to find Interesting, Unusual, Antique or Beautiful Selections of Luggage, Purses and Leathergoods items to add to my Shop, I come across some really special pieces and Nearly Lost Treasures.

Many of the Estate Sales I attend are in the most Magnificent Homes which belonged to extremely wealthy, successful people. It is absolutely amazing to me how many beautiful things they had that were never used. Possibly they were impulse purchases or more likely, gifts that were never or rarely used.

This is a lovely Vintage Floral Box. I’m not sure if it’s a lacquered wood box or if it’s paper mache. Regardless of which it is, this is an extremely attractive trinket or vanity box.

It measures about 4 ½” across by about 3 ½” from back to front and stands about 2: tall.

The background is a kind of soft beige-y-yellow tone on which are pretty blue flowers and green leaves. I might be hand painted, but I really can’t be sure. I don’t see any signature on it. I’m also not sure of its age. I have it since the early 1970’s but it wasn’t new when I bought it. The interior and the underside are black.

The exterior is in lovely condition The only real areas of wear are around the lip of the bottom section and where it fits into the top section. This is more from friction of lifting the cover on and off rather than atmospheric wear.

RETURN POLICY

The item must be received by me no later than 14 days from date you received it.
It must be returned with careful packing, preferably in the same packaging in which you received it. Your purchase price less original shipping as well as a deduction of a 25% Re-Stocking Fee will be refunded back to your Paypal account. You are responsible for the return shipping charges with Tracking Number and Delivery Confirmation. Please also email me with the Tracking Number as soon as the package is shipped back.

If the item is a ‘Free Shipping’ item, you will be refunded your original purchase price less the shipping I incurred in originally shipping it to you. All of the other conditions above-mentioned also apply.
