VINTAGE Christmas SANTA DOLL DECORATION

Wonderful, large and striking vintage hand made Christmas doll decoration measuring a whopping 21\" tall. Featuring a slight cone shape, batting stuffed patriotic inspired Santa doll holds a basket of tiny pine cones, berries and greenery in one hand, and a large cotton Flag on pole in the other. Dressed in a charming, primitive antique hooded coat made from intentionally crinkeled or wrinkled sturdy felt material trimmed in faux batting fur and tied with a raffia cord. Tiny head is framed in wavy hair and long beard - features are hand painted with intentional distressing to the material to mimic aging - there is even a bell on the end of the hood tip! Condition is very nice with no major damage - no holes, tears, discoloration or smells - he stands independently - underside felt base is marked JONI 1993. I purchased this originally, directly from the artist, and have been using him with a variety of similar Santa and holiday figures on my fireplace mantle ever since. Large, striking and wonderfully primitive, he would be a charming addition to any holiday collection or display! As shown with similar Santa figures listed separately.
