Beautiful vintage Mexican folk art paper mache box signed Capistrano Mexico in excellent condition. This measures about 8 1/2\" by 4\" and 2\" high and is signed Capistrano Mexico # 34-0 as shown. This oval shape box has a fitted lid with sun goddess face in cameo on top and raised hearts around the sides. The color is a pretty hot pinkish rose red color. There is some crazing on the sun face, light scuff on a heart and was always displayed standing or leaning against the wall.Thislookslike the paper mache art work by Gemma Taccogna and face is painted in similar style. This has been in the family for over 40 years.I have a few matching pieces listed that are not included but shown in last group photo.
