Offered for sale is a large vintage paper mache Easter egg made in East Germany. This is a wonderful find!! The outer shell is decorated in bold colors and a delightful a scene which depicts the Easter Bunny, a rooster, hens, and a couple of adorable baby chicks.
It is in amazing condition!!! The inside, once filled with chocolate treats, is green and white and is decorated with flowers and the words,\"Made in German Democratic Republic.\" This was the name of East Germany. This country existed from 1949-1980 when the Berlin Wall was torn down.
The inside also bears the original price tag! The tag contains the words,\"East Germany\" and the price $1.99.
This egg measures approximately 6 inches long and 4 inches wide.
