Vintage Papier Mache Snuff Box Round Hunting Scene Woods Man Fox and Hound :

This is a neat papier mache snuff box from our own personal collection and it has been with us for at least forty years. The main decorative motif is what looks to be an \"after the Hunt\" scene depicting the hunter, the hunted and the dog that assisted in the hunt. The box is predominately black, apart from the scene. The top fits snugly. We assume that it dates to the mid to late nineteenth century when sneeshing or the the taking of snuff was in vogue. It measures 3/4\" tall and it is 3\" in diameter. It is in reasonably good condition, with no visible cracks or repairs and has wear commensurate with it\'s age. White spots, if any, are camera glare. Successful buyer is responsible for shipping and insurance and payment must be received within ten (10) business days of the close of the sale or the sale may be voided.
