Vintage original photograph by noted British photographer, Hugh Cecil, of the Duke of Windsor (Edward III), who left the throne to marry Wallis Simpson, this photo came from the estate of a collector of Duke & Duchess of Windsor items, they had purchased it at the Sotheby\'s sale in New York, September 11-19, 1997, the photo is matted and framed in a simple gilt wood MUNN frame, the frame measuring 13-1/2\" x 11-3/4\", all the original Sotheby\'s stickers are still intact, the backing has been cut so the photographer\'s mark can be seen, a wonderful item, condition: there are three faded looking or light areas on the Duke\'s jacket, we don\'t know why these areas appear light, the photo has not been removed from this frame, it has original dust seals, you can see them in the photos.
