Here we have fresh of the bench, a fully custom picaroon or pimparoon as I call them around here, this is a great tool for logging, firewood, produce, millwork or other endless jobs that you need to get ahold of something that\'s just out of reach, this one is a bit different than my usuals by way of a super old hand forged head that I got my hands on......This hammer reminds me of a cross between a tomahawk and a war hammer, its really an insane piece!!!!!!.......By offerding on this piece you are fully supporting a small honest business, I put a lot of time, labor, love and most importantly ORIGINALITY into each piece I make up for you, these are allMY originalideas in both concept and design,.You are buying this piece directly from \"Uncle Pimpys Axe Palce\" and this is all MY ( Jesse Reed\'s) handwork, NOTa thieved imitation copy or cheap knock off, you are buying the real deal from the real dude, THE VALUE IS IN THE NAME AND THE REPUTATION you will receive the exact piece pictured here in the sale, this is not an \" I\'ll build one similar\" sale, you will receive the piece you are viewing...........Now back to business, Shes approx.20 inches longand She weighs approx.3 1/2 pounds ( the head is 3 pounds by itself).....There is no damage to this head such as cracks, welds, chips or big pits, clearly she has some pits but nothing that makes her junk and no damage from abuse.........I cleaned up, tuned and polishedthe spike end andthe hammer face and left all of the other age and forge marks on the cheeks, I think it makes for a sweet detail effect to see the old metal and natural patina up against the ultra smooth polished areas...Thispoint is very sharp so do not mistake her for a toy at any time, she packs a mean backwards upswing and could poke a mean hole into something Im sure........I never did find a makers mark, I\'m 100 perect sure this is an old hand forged head made by some blacksmith way back in the day......The hammer face does have a very small half moon shapedflaw in the metal, its not really a flaw but a forge weld line that\'s visible from when she was made, in reality its not a flaw but a thing of beauty, its purley cosmetic and in no way wakes this head junk and in no way is it damaged..........The handle is one of MY classic shapes and is all made by me, by hand here in Oregon......The handle is madeout of one piece of solid Ash with good loking super tight grain...............The handle has a great shape and in hand feel to her, it molds to the hand....I set the head using both wood wedges and epoxy and got a nice tight fit that looks good on both the top and bottom...........I sanded the handle silky smooth, gave her a flame joband used several coats of Boiled Linseed Oilfor the final finish........................Please ask questions.....I do combine when ever possible....cheaper on you and easier on me....shipping quoted in sale is intended for the lower 48 United States only....all others may be more.....by offerding on this axe you verify and confirm that you are over the age of 18 and that seller(myself ) is not liable for injury or damage that may occur from use or misuse of this all who may be interested...Look for \"Uncle Pimpys Axe Palace\" on facebook for more pictures and other odds and ends....thank you and good luck.......I am giving you the option on shipping of either parcel post or priority, I recomend priority because it reduces the chance of damage in transit, but its up to you, please specify when you pay what shipping method you want, either way I will insure the parcel at my offerDING ON OR BUYING THIS AXE YOU ARE REALLY SUPPORTING HONEST SMALL BUSSINESS AMERICA, AND FOR THAT I THANK YOU!!!!!!!...........BE GOOD HUMANS!!!!!......THANKS FOR SUPPORTING THE SMALL HONEST GUY,, JESSE \\m/
