Vintage Pierced Brass Karakusa Lamps Hollywood Regency Mid-Century:

This listing is for three vintage pierced brass Karakusa lamps. One is a mounted ceiling light fixture and the other two are hanging pendant lamps. These 3 barrel-shaped lights are in excellent vintage condition and came out of a mansion in Belmont, MA. 

The two hanging lanterns have three 40 watt max candelabra base \"B\" type bulbs and the mounted ceiling lamp has a standard A bulb (wattage not listed.) The mounted fixture only has an original rice paper lining, in good condition.  

The cast brass filigree lamps feature scrolling arabesque patterns and Japanese Imperial Lamps- approx. 10\"H (size of barrel) or 13\"H (total) x 9\"W

Mounted Ceiling Lamp- approx. 9\" H (size of barrel) or 11\"H (total) x 7\" W 

Wiring is original so you may want to rewire or have it checked by a professional before installing (all three were installed until recently, and were taken down by an electrician, but you can never be to sure when it comes to fire safety!)  

Karakusa Lamps are increasingly rare and highly sought after on the collector\'s market. (I recommend Googling for more info!)

The time period of these pieces is approx. 1950s- within the Mid Century Hollywood Regency design periods in the US, and a time when Asian styles were popular in the US. Others have also (mis)labeled these lamps as \"Moroccan Modern\" or \"Chinoiserie.\"
