This is a vintage Bulldog Pit Bulls Trade Mark stockman knife made in Germany between 1978 and 1987. This is a first generation knife. It measures about 3 3/4\" closed and has pretty genuine stag handles with no chips or cracks. The blades are unused with a good snap. The main blade is tang stamped HAND MADE with 2 fighting dogs and rear tang stamped BULLDOG over BRAND over GERMANY. The main blade also is etched PIT BULLS TRADE MARK with 2 fighting dogs. Both small blades are tang stamped HAND MADE with the 2 fighting dogs. The shield is referred to as a banner shield. It comes with a later version box in near mint condition. According to Pocket Knife Traders Price Guide Vol. 3, pg. 88 there were 300 of these knives made with a mint price of $110.00. It would be hard to find a prettier and better made knife than this one.
