These are a set of two vintage Japanese candle climber/huggers . They were made in Japan in the late 1940s and 50s, sold in dime stores. They are in good to fair condition. Approximately 3 inches tall.

The girl shows no cracks, chips or crazing. Her candle base shows two minor chips, has the gold paper label affixed, and has the original gold metal chain attached .

The boy does not fare as well. His right wing shows signs of repair as does his base - they have been glued. Their is also a chip on the base. Original gold metal chain attached .

The box is in very poor condition as you can see in photos.
