..... This sale for the pictured unusual vintage appx. 6\" long DUCK Shape\'d Covered Soap Dish, made of all metal; previously-owned and used. The metal doesn\'t really seem like pewter, seems more like a polished steel, with hammered brass accents soldered, brazed, or welded in place. Country of origin is a mystery too, no hallmarks or signatures on the piece. Is it folk art from the USA, or something made in India; don\'t know. Definately seems handmade to me, at least partially. The top fits the base good, but not perfectly; and the brass looks hand-hammered. Weighs nearly two pounds before packaging. Recent local discovery ...
