Vintage Pompeian Bronze Pair Bookends, \"Glory\", Raised Horse/Chariot:

Vintage pair of bronze bookends made by the Pompeian Bronze Co. feature matching raised design scene of Roman soldier and driver in a chariot pulled by three horses, painted. Marked on back \"Glory\". Each measures 4-3/4\" tall x 7\" long x 2-3/4\" wide at base. Both have a name underneath scene on front sides that we assume is the artist\'s name, and unfortunately we can\'t quite make it out. Both are marked on side with \"Pompeian Bronze Co., NY\" and on back \" 105, (c) Pompeian Bronze,\" as well as the title \"Glory\" on backs at top. These are vintage pieces and show significant and heavy signs of wear and age. Both have heavy chipping to paint in many spots throughout front scene. Both have heavy scratches and dents in many, many spots throughout -- particularly noticeable along edges, at corners and at tops and bottoms. The top left edge of one of the two pieces has a wrinkled look to it -- either heavily dented or a manufacturing flaw, and we\'re not sure which. Both have multiple pit marks in the metal in several spots. Felt attached at bottoms of both is significantly worn, chipped away, faded, and coming unglued from bottoms.
