Up for sale is a stunning hand-wrought sterling silver lettuce fork and salad serving spoon by Potter & Mellen of Cleveland, OH. Potter & Mellen is one of Cleveland\'s most prominent jewelry stores, and was founded in the year 1900 by Horace Potter. This salad serving set has a total weight of an impressive 175.2 grams. The fork measures 10 1/2\" long by 1 5/16\" wide at the tines. The serving spoon measures 10 1/2\" long by 1 5/8\" wide at the bowl. The design of this set perfectly captures the spirit of the Arts & Crafts movement, and is very reminiscent of the Bauhaus style. This set is monogrammed on the upper front handle, and is engraved \'May 15, 1935\' on the reverse handle. The set is in very fine vintage condition, showing no structural defects, and only very fine hairline surface scratches which are consistent with light prior use. It is evident they have been well taken care of over the years.
