I\'m not an expert but this feels like vintage leather. The leather is very smooth on both sides of compact. The unique ornate design on the top is hand painted with gold/pink/navy. There is some fading and scratches on the leather due to age and use. The size of the compact is 3 inches by 1/4 in tall. There are scratches and minor dents around the edge of compact due to usage and age. Please look at all the pictures carefully and if you have any questions please email me before purchase.
