The followinglisting is foran Antique Vintage German Hausser Composition Elastolin AnimalUp-Right RagingBear.

Maker:Made in Germany. Possibly Hausser or Linoel. I looked through several catalogs and came up witha similiar one under Lineol # 515 (1925).

Marked:Unmarked.

Material:Elastolin composition figures are made from sawdust, a glue such as casein, and clay (kaolin) molded on a wire armature and hand painted at the factory.

Features:The following listing is foran Antique or Vintage German Elastolin Composite / Composition Animal /Up-Right RagingBear. Painteddark brownwith facial features (little round orangeeyes with black pupils,black noseandpink inside of his slightly open mouth with white teeth), brown fur. Theup-right bearisnicelysculpted with very fine detail.Elastolin was created in 1912 by Otto and Max Hausser but later utilized by Lineol and other manufactures. Since this is un-marked, I am uncertain as to which manufacturer created this item. I have several listed but some are marked with Germany, two lines, Lineol and unmarked. Some I have found in catelogs - including a Hausser catalog.

Size:Thisitem is approximately;4.12 inches (10.5 cm)heightby 2.5\" (6.5 cm)length.

Age:1920s-30s approximately.

Condition: Condition is subjective but item is used and wear is evident as seen in the photographs. Used with chip off of right and left lower foot (larger chip), flaking paint off the inside of the mouth, paint wear to fur: please look at the photographs as part of the description. Still quite nice. I may not have caught everything so please rely on pictures as part of description.
