Up for sale is a vintage folk art bottle cover resembling a classic American farmer or factory worker. This bottle cover hails from a ranch in Montana, dates to the 1950s or 1960s and covers an empty bottle of Early Times whiskey. The figure’s head is made of painted papier-mâché, as is his pipe and hat, while the hands are made of carved wood. The overalls are made of denim with small removable fasteners that, when unhooked, reveal a plaid cotton shirt. Figure has a bandana in his back pocket and little pencil in his front pocket. It measures approximately 12 3/4 inches tall, 5 inches wide, and 6 inches deep. The head with hat measures 4 inches tall. Piece is in great condition with very little wear and minor paint loss to the top of the head where the hat rests and to the rim of the hat.
