You are looking at a very rare variant of the Electro Voice 623 microphone and sold under license. This Executone EXLL model is the exact same dynamic model and was used as a \"general purpose\" microphone. It come with it\'s original cable shown as well.
This 623 mic was sold to Ampex as well but the Executone model is by far the rarest and seldom seen even on .
The Electro Voice model came withpolished chrome housings but this EXLL has a unique paint scheme best described as a lite mint green / brown. As you can see there is just a bit of wear in the form of scratches, scuffs and some lite paint loss. There are no dents on the body and the grill looks pretty good. The Executone badge is very legible and in great condition. The joint mechanism works perfectly with plenty of adjustable tension and the threads for both the cable and stand are perfect.
This mic has been tested and it works perfectly with a High Z setting. I should state that the Executone mics have a different pin arrangement on their 4 pin cables so a standard 4 pin cable will not work uless the pin arrangement inside is rearranged. This cable is an original Executone cable so it works like a charm. This cable will not work on your standard E.V or Shure 4 pin microphone unless you resolder the pins correctly.
The cable is 14 feet long, soft and pliable. Free of any physical damage. Just lite exterior stains and has the chrome plated Switchcraft 1/4 inch connector used on most modern audio equipment and all guitar amplifiers.
This is a very good example of a 60+ year old 623 variant.I try to provide the clearest pictures possible so you know exactly what you\'re getting.
