Here is a fabulous rare Mid-century Modernist picture frame with elaborate compo leaves on the surround. It is BIG, measuring 32 1/2 x 41 ins. in total size, the insert rabbet size is 26 x 34 ins., and the molding is 4 ins. wide. This used to house a mirror that was dated 1953 on it, so it was easy to date. It looks very late 1940s style to me, and would work in a 1940s to 1950s style home or business. The frame is wood with the combed inner molding accent and the wonderful detailed leaf border. The frame is in good as isvintage condition, with only some wear to the finish. The color is a dark gold, and it has not been re-painted in the last 60+ years.The frame is very heavy, and will take a large box to ship it, so be aware of that when you see ship costs. I will ship this FedEx Ground.This frame will have a 45.00 packing fee added to the ship fee as I will have Fedex package it .
