A This is an extremely rare offering that I am selling for a friend. It is a Takashima Pearl Akoya strand necklace with custom made 14k yellow gold and two diamond accents clasp with security clip. It’s from the 1950-60\'s and in its original case. It is in excellent condition and well taken care for.

The pearls have a beautiful shine and pinkish hues that akoya pearls are known for. The necklace is beautiful and the clasp is in perfect working order.

Wearable length is 18 inches.

Takashima was one of the pioneers of cultured pearls, just Mikimoto became more commercial and known. Takashima Farm pearls are known for their luster and overall beauty. They almost never come on the open market. Do some research of your own.
