Recently I found a group of vintage menus at a local estate sale. There are no dates to indicate how old they are, but the prices indicate pre-1950 to me (perhaps even as early as the 1920-30\'s). For example, the price of the Lobster Cardinal Special was $1.40, Turkey Dinner was $1.25 and Medallions of Beef were $1.50. The Chef\'s Special Spaghetti Victor Hugo was $.40-.70!

The menu is designed like a door that opens. It is a heavy paper with The Victor Hugo Carte du Jour, Beverly Hills, California on the front. The doors open to an extensive menu. There is a crease down the back center which shows wear, and the typed print from the Specials Insert has rubbed off a little on both sides of the \"doors\". The paper has aged a little, and there are a few food/handling spots, but overall condition is good for such an old menu. Afabulous addition to any menu collection!
