Vintage Retro Mid-Century Mod Mad Men Chic Ashtray Zebra Print Gold GUC:
$29.99
Well, well, what have we here? Up for offer is this amazing vintage ashtray, decorated with a zebra-print appliqué and accented with gold-tone paint. The piece is stamped E-8099; based upon style and mark, I would guess that it is a mid-century import from Japan. The piece measures about 9\" long by 5-1/2\" wide, making it a great focal point for your coffee table or bar. The piece has seen some damage, including 4 glaze rubs or scuffs to the top side (2 @ 1/16\"; the other two longer @ 1/4\" long), very light pitting to the gold tone, 2 glaze rubs on the underside edge, as well as one slightly deeper chip on the underside rim, measuring about 1/4\" in diameter. Paint loss to the zebra print is only minimal. In terms of manufacturing issues, there is one glaze pop within the zebra black, and a few stray lines of gold along the edges. All told, I don\'t think you\'ll find anything that will detract from the chic of this eye-catching piece. Go mod!
The cold, hard truth, aka shipping & handling terms: Winning domestic buyer is to pay closely estimated shipping costs--i.e., either exact, or due to irregularities built into the shipping calculator, within $0.77 of actual postal prices--plus $0.73 in handling fees (or $1 for Canadian buyers, and 10% surcharge on postage to other international buyers). This handling fee has become a sad necessity due to the ever-increasing fees imposed by both and Paypal--imagine that at a minimum, on a 99c widget I will lose 90c in fees; the higher the cost and weight of the item, so too the fees. Because my business is largely based on low-ticket items, without this added cushion my profit margins would not otherwise legitimize staying in business. So if you want my item--and you know you want it!--that is the offerding contract that we are agreeing to. I beg you to keep this in mind when leaving response about what constitutes \"very reasonable\" shipping & handling charges--I really am striving to earn your 5-star rating!
Mix it, match it, throw it in your basket! I am happy to combine shipping on multiple purchases, so if you\'d like, please take a look at my other sales. A handling fee per item still applies (see tedious and preachy explanation above). Meow! This item comes from a smoke-free, cat-friendly home. Thanks for looking and happy
