This is an unusualmeter because it has a lighted face and its own low voltage power supply. Plugthe power supply into the meter and you have a lighted Face.

These meters were usedon all New York City Cabs and all over the country.

They were electricallyand mechanically devices.

In the early 1970’s theywere being replaced by electronically operated meters.

This type of meternormally runs on 12 Volt DC for the lights and timer for advancing the fairwhen waiting. The fair also advances when moving by a speedometer drive cableconnection.

It has been striped,bead blasted, cleaned, lubricated and painted.

The case is yellow. TheFlag is red.

It has a checker patternaround the housing.

The plastic face is a new replacement.

When the Red Flag isrotated the openings go thru a cycle & resets.

The red vacant platemoves up and down.

The “Extra” (luggage)dial advances with each push of the button.
