This travel booklet, \"Romantic Austria,\" is 26 pages, published by Oesterreichische Verkehrswerbung, printed by \"Leykam\" Graz in Austria in the 1930s. The preface was written by noted American traveler, photographer and filmmaker Burton Holmes (1870-1958). The pamphlet offers four tours, 18 days in Austria, 27 days in Austria, and two 30 day options. The travel pamphlet includes information about destinations, such as Vienna, City of the Emperors; Innsbruck in Tyro, Capital of the Land in the Mountains; and Graz, in the Styrian Forest Land. Sportsmen can discover opportunities for hiking, skiing, fishing, golfing, and hunting in Austria. Those interested in pampering can learn about different spas and health resorts to visit. Almost every page includes an interesting fact about Austria, including Austria was founded in 803 A. D., and the coffee house originated in Vienna.
The booklet was folded completely in half at one time.
The front cover has some age discoloration and age spots, particularly along the edges of the pamphlet and on both sides of the fold. The front cover has someblight scuffing. All of the edges and corners show wear, including the fold\'s crease and the upper and lower edges of the fold.
The back cover has some age discoloration and spotting, particularly along the edges. The back cover has some scuffing. There are a few light creases along the binding. There is wear along all of the edges and corners, particularly along the lower edge of the booklet where the upper layer of paper has been worn away.
The inside front cover has age discoloration, particularly along the edges. There are some creases along the fold. There is a crease that runs vertically next to the fold.
The back inside cover is similar to the front inside cover.
The inside pages all have wear along their edges and corners.
