The Royal 660 was a staple of the 1960s office Environment. The machine is quite heavy - a hefty 40 lbs. It\'s all motors and mechanical workings - no circuit boards or extensive use of plastic to be found anywhere in this machine.
Unfortunately, the typewriter does not power up; the frayed electric cord (see picture) is the prime suspect and should be the first line of attack if you want to get this relic of by-gone wordsmithing days working once again. For vintage typewriter fans, this needs to be in your collection. (And the red/black ribbon is still in place!)
