Click to View Image Album These are two pieces of vintage Series Ware made by Royal Doulton. The first piece is a toothpick holder from the 1912 Dickens Ware series. It is 2 7/8\" high and 1 1/2\" square and pictures Sam Weller. The second piece could be either a small vase or a cigarette holder in the Gaffers series ware. It is 2 3/8\" high and 2 3/4\" square at the bottom. On one side is written I be all the way from Zummerset. Neither piece has any chips or cracks however they do have overall crazing. The toothpick holder has a couple small paint skips on the top edge which are glazed over and are not chips or losses. The toothpick is marked Royal Doulton, England, Copyright with D249? hand written and dates to ca 1902 to 22. The second piece is marked Royal Doulton, Made in England, Gaffers. This series ware was made ca 1921 to 1949.
