Vintage Royal Doulton Robert Burns Plate D6344 from England
This is great vintage Royal Doulton collectible plate with aformal, portrait of the legendary Scottish poet Robert (Robbie) Burns 1759-1796,in the center. He was called “Scotland\'s favorite son,” and often, the“Ploughman Poet.” In the background ofthe portrait, a ploughman and his team of horses are depicted.

On the rim of the “Robert Burns Plate” are beautifullyrendered illustrations of some of the major characters in Burns’s poems andsongs. Around the inner edges of the plate, are the following sayings-\"BURNS; John Anderson My Jo John; Holy Willie; What Can A Young Lassie;Tam O-Shanter; Highland Mary; Duncan Gray; The Cotter\'s Saturday Night; Here\'sA Health To Them That\'s Awa; Halloween.\"

Plate is in very nice condition with no cracks, or crazing. Back of plate has one very small chip. See photographs.
